Lost
On a painted sky
Where the clouds are hung
For the poet’s eye
You may find him
If you may find him
There
On a distant shore
By the wings of dreams
Through an open door
You may know him
If you may…

(Thanks much, Neil Diamond!)

Memories of the yearning of youth. Reminders that I should listen to my heart. A reminder that I am personally responsible to strive towards my visions through deeds. So I swing up myself in this image and explore the sky and stretch the horizon of what I accept as being possible. I wish you an equally inspired Sunday.

Transient traces

To be and to act, leaving traces with every step we take, changing the world. This seems so relevant and lasting. How healing it is, to see every now and then, as our traces move on and the world becomes whole again soon after.
I wish you a wonderful Sunday.

Writing on the treasure chest

(click > zoom)

Again and again, individuals paint magic formulas in high hopes onto the treasure chest of life. What will be my own formula? And if it works, what will the chest reveal?

Die Welt berühren | Touching the world

English abstract:

Subdue the earth ( Genesis, 1:28 ). That’s god’s word. Well, it ain’t written like that, it is how it was translated. The hebrew word kabash (translated as “subdue”) also has the meaning of “cultivate land, make subservient/reclaimed”. And Marx wrote in his 3rd volume of his “Capital”:… They are only its possessors, its usufructuaries, and, like boni patres familias, they must hand it down to succeeding generations in an improved condition..

Yesterday, I watched my son making the world “subservient” in a way that makes me now sit down and think about how I can be one of those “boni patres familias” and hand the world to him in a improved condition…

Rohdiamanten im Gewächshaus | Raw diamonds in a greenhouse

What pictures appear in your head, if you think “old, lonely greenhouse”? I had the pleasure to hold a working session with colleagues from the photography learning platform The Good Eye in the vicinity of such a greenhouse. In the spare time, we often took our cameras and get up close and personal to the greenhouse and surroundings. I call that “encounter the raw diamonds”. Bluntly and raw they lie there, until someone with no prejudices find them – and then they start to sparkle and shine.
