In jedem Anfang steckt ein Ende. Wie der Phoenix aus der Asche, so sind auch wir aus Sternenstaub entstanden. Jedes einzelne Atom unseres Körpers wurde im Inferno einer sterbenden Sonne “geschmiedet”. (Jedes schwerere Element des Periodensystems stammt aus einer Supernova).

Zwei Annäherungen an diese unscheinbaren Schönheiten. Einmal in einer malerischen Art, einmal als klassisches Blumenfoto. Für mich immer wieder ein Experiment. Erlernte Sehweisen diktieren Schärfe und damit vor allem Dokumentation der Oberfläche. Ich bin immer wieder versucht, die Schärfe zu entschärfen… und mich mehr mit der Ausstrahlung als der Oberfläche zu befassen. Ein Projekt, das andauert…

Two different approaches to this unspectacular beauty. Once in a painterly way, once as a classic flower photo. This is yet another experiment for me. Learned ways of seeing dictate to produce sharp pictures, which primarily documents the surface. I’ve always tried to “defuse” the focus … and search below the surface to photograph the charisma.
