  1. This conversation here between father and young teenage son is one of the most challenging, unique and fascinating debates I have ever heard. And using the visual of a piece of paper and pencil was brilliant.

With raising four boys and working with the youth for so many years, I have not come across such an ‘old soul’ in a young man’s body, who has the depth to share in a straight forward way his thoughts about life…what is fair and not fair…what is right or wrong, who dares to be in control of these issues, and feeling safe enough to bring it to the table for discussion. It left me wanting to sit with him for hours, just to listen and peer into his eyes to experience the importance of what he was speaking about. Your focus, questions and patience, Roland has given this young teacher the opportunity to speak without hesitation.

Oh, how I would love to see where he will be in 10 years from now. I can only imagine.

One question here…as you intently listened…did you see a young Roland? I’m curious.
Thank you for this piece. I thoroughly enjoyed it.☺️
