Regen. Nach dutzenden Tagen trockener Hitze schenkten uns die Gewitterwolken heute endlich mal wieder Regentropfen. Was liegt näher als auf der Terrasse zwischen Tisch und Stühlen eine dünne Plastikplane aufzuspannen und darunter zu liegen. So könnte ich endlos den Regentropfen zuschauen, wie sie auftreffen, sich halten, sich bewegen, zusammenfliessen, wie sich Raum und Objekt die Hand geben und der Himmel zu einer Bühne für ein zauberhaftes Ballett wird…

Rain. After dozens of days of dry heat, the storm clouds today finally brought back raindrops. What could be more enjoyable than to span a thin plastic sheet between the chairs and the table on the patio and then to lie beneath that transparent tent. I could endlessly watch, as the raindrops land, hold, move, merge, and watch how space and objects hold hands and the sky turns into a stage for a magical ballet …

  1. Such a beautiful lightness in these images.

    And you bring back a childhood memory… Riding in the backseat of a car at night, my parents driving home after a dinner party. Rain on the windows captures light and color against the dark outside. I made a game of watching the drops become paths and then merge into new avenues.
