Da brach sie auf, die Dunkelheit und erlaubte mir einen Blick auf das lange gesuchte, verwunschene Haus. Grabsteine neben der Tür, gespenstisch beleuchtet, wuchernde Vegetation die nach mir zu greifen schien… aber das Licht, das Licht zog mich magisch an. Was mich dort wohl erwartet?

(Es dunkelt wieder früher ein, die Lichter des Tages verziehen sich hinter den Horizont dafür leuchten nun weder die Lichter der Fenster. So sass ich auf meiner Terrasse und betrachtete ein Fenster des Nachbarhauses. Wie es sich für einen Mentor von The Good Eye gehört, ergriff ich die Chance und machte mich an eine unserer Kreativitäts-Übungen: Assoziative Ketten und visuelle Metaphorik. In der Folge zeige ich nun ein paar Bilder, immer desselben Fensters. Das Bild hier entstand durch eine lange Belichtungszeit und kontrollierte, “quantisierte” Verschiebung der Kamera während der Belichtung. Rohmaterial ist ganz einfach ein normales Fenster)

English abstract:

Suddenly the darkness broke up and revealed the long searched, enchanted house. Tomb stones, ghostly lit, overgrown vegetation that seems to grab me… but the light, the light attracted me so magically. What is waiting for me there?

(Its getting darker faster again every day. The lights of the day move on beyond the horizon but the lights of the window of the neighbor house is now lit instead. Sitting on my balcony, I was looking at that lit window. Being a mentor of The Good Eye, I took the opportunity to do a creativity exercise: associative chains and visual metaphors. I will now and in the next posts show you some of the pictures that were created during this little exercise. This shot here was created using a long exposure and controlled, quantised movement of the camera during the (multi second) exposure.The raw material is acutaly a simple, normal window.
